Jennifer Britton
Jennifer brings public, private, and non-profit management experience as well as professional training as an Executive and Life Coach with expertise in leadership development. She received her professional coaching certification (CPCC) and leadership training at the Co-Active Institute (CTI,) out of San Rafael, CA, one of the top coaching and leadership training schools in the country. In combination with CTI’s leadership model, Jennifer leans heavily upon the Bay Area’s own Conscious Leadership Group and their landmark leadership model, The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership. These two models combined offer clients an introduction and grounding in emotional intelligence (EQ), inside-out leadership and empathy practices which have gained major traction in the private sector and are timely with respect to the effects of the pandemic on work cultures. Coaching clients have included Executive Directors of Non-Profit organizations, Department Heads and middle managers, largely around leadership or professional advancement.
An Ohio native, Jennifer has direct local government management experience in City Manger’s offices in Shaker Heights, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, and the Bay Area cities of Belmont, Saratoga and Sunnyvale. Her experience spans positions as an HR Director, policy analyst and various assistant positions executing contract management, performance measurement, human services administration, budget, intergovernmental relations and strategic planning. Jennifer has actively engaged in professional association leadership as she served on many ICMA and Cal Cities committees and served as President of the Municipal Management Assistants of Northern California (MMANC). She enjoys the vast outdoor California landscape as a hiker and camper as well as writing non-fiction.
