Dara Ayres
Dara is a leadership coach and consultant driven by a desire to ignite transformation in leaders, teams, and organizations. Through her one-on-one coaching, Dara helps leaders truly thrive by uncovering blind spots, building self-awareness and emotional intelligence, and shifting their mindset to create new habits and lasting change.
Dara uses a strengths-based and collaborative approach in her work with teams and organizations offering team coaching, retreat design and facilitation, and organization development focused on culture transformation, strategy and operational planning, and talent development and engagement. Dara helps teams have conversations that matter, find alignment and clear direction, and drive toward extraordinary.
Dara is known for her down-to-earth style, her creative and strategic thinking, and her solutions-focused approach. She brings a curiosity and optimism to her work that clients describe as energizing and uplifting. Prior to becoming a consultant and coach, Dara worked for 17 years inside organizations leading and managing teams, building effective systems, strategies, and programs. She holds a MPA in Public Policy & Governance from the University of Washington with concentrations in organization development and management. Dara is an iPEC certified professional coach and credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (PCC).
Dara gives back to her community as a pro bono coach and leadership team member of the Community Consulting Partnership, a community organization which provides pro bono consulting and coaching services to teeny-tiny nonprofits. In her free time Dara is often adventuring into the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and 10 and 13-year old kids. In 2021 she became a breast cancer patient, survivor, and…drum roll…thriver–this last part continues to be a work in progress!
